This piece was written for a fanfare competition by the Dallas Winds. It takes inspiration from composers like Aaron Copland and John Williams. The theme itself takes from the numbers in 1776. I started on the root of the scale degree, then jumped up to the seventh twice, then moved down to the sixth.
